Greek NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo urged global football star Cristiano Ronaldo to continue his career in Greece after the Portuguese phenom announced he would be departing from Saudi club Al-Nassr.
The “Greek Freak,” who has also been involved in the transfer rumor mill, replied to a farewell Instagram post by Ronaldo, commenting, “Come and play in Greece.” “I am not picky, whatever you want,” Giannis continued, listing the “big four” of Greek football: Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, AEK, and PAOK.

The post by Antetokounmpo, who has one NBA championship ring and won two NBA MVPs, among other accolades, received nearly 10 thousand likes.
Since Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in January 2023, the club has failed to lift a single official trophy. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has since hinted at his potential departure from the nine-time Saudi Pro League champions.
While Ronaldo’s future destination is still up in the air, the 40-year-old has been linked with a move to the MLS, Brazil, Turkey, and his childhood club Sporting Lisbon.
